Can chiropractic help pain?

When pain occurs it is showing you that somewhere in your body a problem has surfaced.  People shrug pain off everyday thinking it will work its way out, but that may not be the case.  You might need to seek professional help to correct and maintain the problem.

There are two types of pain:

1.  Acute Pain- This pain is new to the body and can be caused by a sprain, cut, broken bone etc. The pain can be mild to severe and will usually dissipate with healing

2. Chronic Pain-This pain is different and might be accompanied by insomnia, exhaustion, even weight change and can last up to six months or more.  Many look to painkillers to alleviate the symptoms. This seems like the right thing to do, after all, no one wants to live with pain.  Painkillers will mask the cause of the problem by reducing the amount of pain.  Doesn’t it make more sense to find the true cause of the pain and treat it directly?

Dr. Torres has had thousands of cases over the last 15 years who are now able garden, golf, bowl, and play with their kids…pain free!

Is Chiropractic care safe?

Absolutely! Compared to all other medical treatments, which include medication and surgery, chiropractic is by far the safest. It is estimated that 120,000 people in the USA die each year from OTC drug-related reactions and nearly 100,000 people die as result of medical errors. Insurance companies evaluate the risks of all professions, and charge a premium based on the risk the profession poses (malpractice insurance). Chiropractors have by far the lowest insurance premium of all medial providers. Even though millions of chiropractic adjustments are made each year, only a few complaints are registered.

What is an adjustment?

A gentle, carefully placed thrust which moves vertebrae into their proper position. The chiropractor usually delivers the adjustment by hand, but occasionally uses other instruments. The purpose of the adjustment is to correct a spinal subluxation.
